The IIAM is a registered Institute formed to promote excellence in treatments and patient care in the area of aesthetic medicine. We expect to have over 100,000 fellows and members worldwide by 2010.

The Institute will promote the highest standards of medical practice, education and training. This will be accomplished by endorsing proven treatment protocols, conducting assessments and providing support to members.

IIAM acts as a world-wide representative body and will issue authoritative public statements relating to the interests of its members, and submit responses to consultation papers issued by Governments concerning proposed legislation affecting the profession.

The Institute meets a need for an organisation that is dedicated to supporting, informing and educating practitioners in aesthetic medicine. Membership will benefit Plastic Surgeons, Dermatologists, Doctors, Nurses & Beauticians. The wider medical community will find it an advantage to have a recognisable entity that speaks for this sector of the profession.
