As a fully qualified Aesthetic Practitioner and Founder of the International Institute of Aesthetic Medicine, Deborah Forsythe has voiced many concerns about the recent explosive popularity of bringing `injectable treatments' to the high street and worries that many salons who are new to these treatments may not be fully aware of the responsibilities and pitfalls.

"The UK is the world market leader in the administering of injectables and there is huge responsibility that comes with this. Salons must check on the qualifications, references and insurance status of the freelance Aesthetic Practitioners that they employ. It is the salons' responsibility to look into potential malpractice issues as the liabilities will fall on whoever accepts the client's payment - which is usually the salon."
